SHRA Work Day To Do LIST May 12th, 2012

Around Pond:

  1. Paint parking lot.
  2. Swinging bench by pond… Fix & reinforce slats.
  3. Replace sitting boards on picnic table bench by BBQ pit (2”x6”s  pressure treated).
  4. Put covers on Horseshoe pits.
  5. Clean out the fire pit.
  6. Trim low branches from trees around pond.

Path to courts 3 & 4:

  1. Clear debris from creek that crosses the sidewalk.
  2. Clear breaker dams of debris.
  3. Remove dry/fallen trees or tree limbs from path. Burn in fire pit.
  4. Line sidewalk with mulch.

Playground:

  1. Replace missing board at top of children’s climbing wall.
  2. Fill in washed out hole (by drain behind playground) with “clay” dirt & rock.

Pool Area:

  1. Paint exterior trim of Pavilion windows and frame area.
  2. Clean out BBQ pit & lubricate parts.
  3. Repair corner flood light by grassy hill.
  4. Replace light/ceiling fan bulbs as needed under covered deck area.
  5. Replace/Repair decking and substructure as needed on pool decking.
  6. Repair/Fix electric outlet just outside pool fence area at rear of pool.
  7. Stain/repair picnic table by pond BBQ pit.
  8. Fill in washed out hole (by drain behind shed) with “clay” dirt & rock.
  9. Repair/replace wooden boards in fence surrounding garbage area, as necessary.
Tennis Courts 1 & 2:
  1. Zip Tie windscreens where needed.
  2. Replace shingles on backside of viewing deck (4-5 shingles).
  3. Re-attach bottom of fencing to metal wire going across the bottom of the fence.
  4. Re-attach fence poles to each other. Some are not connected to another pole on one/either end.
  5. Spread mulch along fence & perhaps along tree line.

Tennis Courts 3 & 4:

  1. Re-attach bottom of fencing to metal wire going across the bottom of the fence.
  2. Zip Tie Windscreens where needed.
  3. Replace rotting facial wood on Pavilion & paint.
  4. Re-attach fence poles to each other. Some are not connected to another pole on one/either end.

Other:

LONG TERM INFRASTRUCTURE JOBS:

1. Do water drainage management to hill behind pool/shed/courts 1 & 2
2. Shore up bridge at courts 3 & 4
3. Shore up pavilion at courts 3 & 4
4. Do water drainage management to hill/fallen wall next to court 3
6. Fix/shore up steps going down to pond by tennis court light switch at court 2

DONE:

Clean out BBQ pit
Pavilion Windows cleaned
Fans cleaned
Tables and chairs cleaned
Storage shed cleaned out
Light bulb globe in men’s bathroom replaced
Lights & fans in viewing deck area turned on & checked
Shed fridge cleaned out
Secure railing on steps into pool (by court 2)
Install infant swing at playground
Check gutter on enclosed pool pavilion roof, corner by closet
Spread mulch around hill by court 1 where needed

Tools to BRING with you
Safety is PARAMOUNT… so always be safe and use the right tool & clothing for the right job. Wear safety glasses & gloves when needed.
Depending on what task you would like to help with bring the appropriate hand tools, hammers, sledge hammers, shovels, wheel barrows, paint brushes, etc.  If you don’t have any and just want to help, bring yourself, with a great attitude some gloves and eye protection. J
