SHRA Work Day To Do LIST May 1st, 2010,
Meet at 9am Pool area to organize

If you can help, please see note at bottom.

Pool area

  1. Clean out BBQ pit
  2. Hang old Steeplechase sign in Paviliion
  3. Windows cleaned
  4. Fans cleaned
  5. Tables and chairs cleaned
  6. Storage shed cleaned out
  7. Fountain turned on
  8. Light in men’s bathroom replaced & updated
  9. Lights & fans in viewing deck area turned on & checked
  10. Fridges cleaned out (pavilion & shed

Tennis area

  1. Stain/repair picnic table
  2. Spread mulch around where needed by viewing deck
  3. Patch cracks on courts 1,2,3,4
  4. Stain & repair needed items in Viewing Deck by Court 3&4
  5. Patch metal roof (on court 3/4 pavilion) where water leaks in & rots wood
  6. Re-attach fence poles to each other (some are not connected to another pole one end)
  7. Re-attach bottom of fence to metal wire going across the bottom of the fence
  8. Foot bridge between courts 3&4 is in need or maintenance where dirt is washing away

Common areas

  1. Bevel dirt slope by fallen wall hill area by Court 3 & give straight edge
  2. Ditch Witch a drain ditch by Court 3 at bottom of fallen wall
  3. Bust corners off of concrete “dead men” by fallen wall
  4. Spread Pine straw after done
  5. Fill in washed out holes by drains (behind shed & by playground) with “clay” dirt & Rock.
  6. Spread new mulch on playground area
  7. Stain playground fence & equipment as needed.
  8. Spread pine straw in all areas as needed (lots of this…includes all three entrances & Facility Pool, pond, and tennis areas).
  9. Reset metal SHRA mailbox in concrete, and adjust flap and door.
  10. Replace wooden end caps on SHRA bulletin board by Pool driveway and paint.
  11. Dredging of Silt Pond on left of parking lot (may be done another day).

Tools to BRING with you
Safety is PARAMOUNT… so always be safe and use the right tool & clothing for the right job. Wear safety glasses & gloves when needed.
Depending on what task you would like to help with bring the appropriate hand tools, hammers, sledge hammers, shovels, wheel barrows, paint brushes, etc.  If you don’t have any and just want to help, bring yourself, with a great attitude some gloves and eye protection. J
