"Friends" is an organization which works to support children, families and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta through volunteer service, fund raising and advocacy.
The Children's Healthcare of Atlanta mission is to enhance the lives of children through excellence in patient care, research and education. One of the largest pediatric healthcare systems in the country, Children's addresses the needs of sick and injured children and their families with specially trained physicians and staff, equipment designed for young, growing bodies and a child-friendly environment. Children's strives to ensure that wellness and prevention programs are available to families across the state, giving children their best chance at a safe and happy future. As a nonprofit organization, Children's gratefully benefits from community support.
We believe "every child needs a friend." And we know that there are countless ways to make a difference in the lives of children - and have fun! No matter how much time you have to give or what kind of volunteering you enjoy most, our menu of opportunities has a variety of options. You can choose what's right for you.
Each year, Friends aligns our own fund-raising and service goals with the mission of Children's. Not only do fund-raising proceeds go toward Children's programs and facilities, but the time generously given by our volunteers also saves Children's hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. The difference Friends volunteers make goes far beyond financial impact. Every moment spent with patients and families at Children's makes a child's stay a little brighter and that's a gift worth more than you can imagine.
By giving your time to Children's, you can help make the world a safer, healthier place for children to grow.
